We are pleased to announce that Jefferson, Larimer, Boulder Valley, and Longmont Conservation Districts have been awarded a total of $13.4 million through the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). This funding will support forest, vegetation, and riparian restoration initiatives across the Northern Front Range of Colorado.
Through this funding, we hope to implement approximately 4,000 acres of forest treatments, 8,000 acres of noxious weed treatments, and 100 acres of riparian habitat restoration on private forest land. Each conservation district will play a vital role in the planning, design, and implementation of these treatments, in collaboration with NRCS. We are excited to work with private landowners to enhance the resilience of the forest ecosystem and improve watershed health.
If you are a private landowner in the region and are interested in a restoration project on your property, we encourage you to apply for financial assistance through this program. For more information or to apply for funding, please contact your local conservation district.
